Saturday, November 23, 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Pensacola, Fla. (November 14, 2019) – The National Flight Academy will host STEM Saturday on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for all 3rd  – 8th grade students. November’s STEM Saturday topic is “Aviation Maintenance.”

Elementary students will learn about basic machines through hands-on activities. Middle school students will experience immersive learning in a virtual reality lab and with 3D printers. Through virtual reality headsets and paddles, middle school students will be able to teleport through a virtual hangar, evaluate aircraft and prepare aircraft for the flight deck.

Like the National Flight Academy’s other programs, STEM Saturdays are designed to address the serious concerns of declining science, technology, engineering and mathematics skills in our country. The Academy’s mission is to inspire students to pursue STEM academic and professional paths. Through the STEM Saturday program, the National Flight Academy appeals to younger elementary-aged children.

Visit to register, as space is limited for each session. Registration closes Monday, November 18 at 5 p.m. Registration is $30 per child and lunch is provided.
