FDOT to Perform Routine Inspections on Spence Parkway

Niceville, Fla. (October 11, 2019) – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will be performing routine inspection of the Rocky Creek Bridge on the Spence Parkway portion of State Road 293 on Tuesday, Oct. 22. Intermittent lane restrictions are to be expected.

Inspections will begin in the southbound lanes of Spence Parkway over Rocky Creek at 9 a.m. Tuesday and will continue until completion, or by 3 p.m.

All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to use caution when traveling in work zones and to expect traffic build up.

About the Mid-Bay Bridge Authority
The Mid-Bay Bridge Authority is a dependent special District of the State located in Okaloosa County, created in 1986 by the Florida Legislature to finance, build, and oversee a bridge across Choctawhatchee Bay along with roads connecting to it.  The Authority has five voting members, appointed by the Governor and the District Three Secretary of the Florida Department of Transportation, or his/her designee, who serves as a non-voting member.  An Executive Director and staff manage day-to-day administration of the Mid-Bay Bridge Authority.
