Santa Rosa Island Authority to extend hours and increase public trolley services for the 2025 Pensacola Beach Air Show
Pensacola Beach, FL (June 27, 2025) — The Santa Rosa Island Authority (SRIA) proudly recognizes Boogie Inc. for 30 incredible years of providing sound, music, and on-site audio support for the annual Pensacola Beach Air Show.
Since 1995, Boogie Inc. has been an integral part of the Red, White and Blues experience on Pensacola Beach—ensuring that spectators enjoy not just the roar of the Blue Angels overhead, but also clear, timely announcements, water safety instructions, and upbeat, family-friendly music throughout the day.
“Boogie Inc. has been a behind-the-scenes hero of this event for three decades,” said Robbie Schrock, SRIA Director of Administration. “Their professionalism, dedication, and energy have helped create a smooth and enjoyable experience for hundreds of thousands of visitors over the years. We are so grateful for their continued partnership.”
Founded in 1978 by David McDonald—affectionately known as “Mr. Boogie”— and his wife and business partner, Bonnie, Boogie Inc. has been a family-owned and operated business from the very beginning. David’s vision, charisma, and love for music and community laid the foundation for what the company is today. Following his passing in 2023, his legacy lives on through the work of Bonnie and the entire Boogie team.
“David was the heart and soul of Boogie Inc.,” said Bonnie McDonald. “We feel his presence at every event, especially at the Air Show. He loved this beach, this community, and the joy that music could bring to it.”
Each year, the Boogie Inc. team begins setup early in the week, with audio coverage stretching from the Public Safety Building all the way across Casino Beach to the east side of The Dock. In addition to emceeing and music, their team delivers important safety messages, schedule updates, and even assists in reuniting lost children with their families.
Boogie Inc. also provides an Air Show feed for local radio, television, and streaming services, helping bring the excitement to those unable to attend in person. Their signature yellow shirts are a familiar—and welcome—sight to both organizers and fans.
“It’s a long, hot week for us, but we look forward to it all year,” said McDonald. “If you need us, just look for the bright yellow Boogie shirts. We are here to help.”
A tradition established in 2001, Boogie Inc. closes the Thursday performances each year with the playing of the National Anthem—an emotional and patriotic moment that sets the tone for the weekend ahead.
The Santa Rosa Island Authority extends its sincere thanks to Bonnie McDonald and the entire Boogie Inc. team for three decades of dedication to the Pensacola Beach Air Show. We look forward to many more years of partnership and unforgettable summer skies.
