Pensacola Beach, Fla. – (March 25, 2020) – Pensacola Beach’s popular outdoor summer concert series, Bands on the Beach, begins next month, so the Santa Rosa Island Authority (SRIA) wants to remind the public that COVID-19 safety precautions will be in place this season.
The SRIA is encouraging all attendees to take appropriate COVID-19 preventative measures by masking up, socially distancing themselves from others, and following the guidelines of local health authorities.
“We are looking forward to hosting Bands on the Beach, once again, from the beautiful white sands of Pensacola Beach,” said Paolo Ghio, executive director of the SRIA. “In order to have this event in as safe a manner as possible, we need your help. We need the public to do its part by continuing to follow the CDC guidelines. There is plenty of beach and paved area to social distance.”
All SRIA staff will remain masked during each event and hand sanitizer will be provided at the SRIA tent.Regarding apparel sales, attendees will not be allowed to handle any merchandise prior to purchase in an effort to prevent contamination. In addition, the SRIA requests the public use exact change for all sales, if possible.
