Pensacola Yacht Club Hosts Viper 640 North American Championship
September 30-October 4, 2026 | Pensacola Bay
Pensacola will play host this fall as the 2026 Viper 640 North American Championship comes to Pensacola Yacht Club.
Sailors from across North America will gather on Pensacola Bay to compete in one of the most exciting one-design classes in the sport, a boat built to make high-performance sailing fast, fun, and accessible.
About the Viper 640
The Viper 640 is a two-to-four-person, high-performance sports boat. It’s a strict one-design class, with sails as the only permitted variable, encouraging sailors and sailmakers to sharpen tuning technique within a level playing field. Light enough to tow behind a compact car and quick to rig, the Viper can be sailed within a half hour of arriving at the ramp or hoist.
