Lennys Grill & Subs Announces July 30 Grand Opening in Downtown Pensacola Featuring First-Ever Lennys Late-Night Walk-Up Window 

PENSACOLA, Fla. — Lennys Grill & Subs has announced that its new location in Pensacola’s Historic Palafox District will officially celebrate its Grand Opening on Thursday, July 30, at 11 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a live broadcast from Cat Country 98.7 FM, special promotions, door prizes, and festivities throughout the day. 

Located at 96 E. Garden Street, the restaurant marks the return of Lennys to Pensacola for the first time in more than a decade. The new location will bring fresh-sliced deli sandwiches, authentic Philly cheesesteaks, catering services, and a first-of-its-kind concept within the Lennys franchise system: a dedicated late-night walk-up ordering window serving customers Thursday through Saturday from 9 p.m. until 2 a.m. 

The Downtown Pensacola restaurant will offer multiple ordering options designed to provide convenience and speed for customers, including a dedicated pickup window at the front of the store, online ordering through the Lennys app, a self-service digital ordering kiosk inside the restaurant, and traditional counter service where guests can order directly with a team member. 

“We want to create a customer-first environment where people feel welcome and recognized every time they come through the door,” said co-owner Will Morin. “Whether someone orders through the app, uses the kiosk, walks up to the counter, or stops by the pickup window, we want the food to be great and the experience to be fast, friendly, and personal.” 

Morin said he and co-owner Kent Simmons were inspired to bring Lennys back to Pensacola after the brand’s previous local location closed years ago and they missed it. They ultimately chose Downtown Pensacola because of the district’s continued growth, increasing residential population, thriving business community, and the need for a quick-service sandwich option among the downtown core’s predominantly sit-down restaurants. 

“For years, the historic district has lacked a dedicated sandwich shop where people can grab a quick lunch, dinner, or late-night meal,” said Simmons. “We saw an opportunity to bring back a brand people know and love while creating something unique that serves downtown businesses during the day and Pensacola’s growing nightlife scene after dark.” 

The restaurant’s regular operating hours will be Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The late-night walk-up window will operate Thursday through Saturday from 9 p.m. until 2 a.m. 

“Downtown Pensacola has two major audiences – people who work here during the day and people who come downtown to enjoy the nightlife,” said co-owner Will Morin. “We built this location to serve both. We want to be the go-to lunch spot for downtown businesses and office workers while also becoming the place people think of when they’re looking for great food after a night out with friends.” 

Construction is currently underway, with Simmons and Morin hoping to welcome their first customers during a soft opening in early July ahead of the official Grand Opening Celebration on July 30. During the soft opening period, guests will have an opportunity to enjoy special introductory pricing and promotions on a limited menu while the staff completes training and fine-tunes its operations.  

The Downtown Pensacola location will offer dine-in service, takeout, catering, online ordering, and mobile ordering through the Lennys app. 

“We’re placing a major emphasis on the app locally because it makes ordering faster and more convenient while rewarding customers with points, special offers, and exclusive promotions every time they order,” furthered Morin.
