Savor, Sip, and Support: Fork Cancer Gala Raises Funds for Pensacola Cancer Patients
Pensacola, FL – (February 12, 2025) – The GenNow Network Pensacola chapter of the American Cancer Society (ACS) is proud to announce the return of the highly-anticipated Fork Cancer Gala, scheduled for April 4, 2025, from 6-10 p.m. at the picturesque Supposey Warehouse and Gardens in Pensacola.
Now in its second year, Fork Cancer Pensacola is building on the overwhelming success of its inaugural event in 2024, where the goal was to raise $65,000—and the community came together to surpass $85,000. This year, organizers have set an ambitious $125,000 fundraising goal, with all proceeds benefiting ACS’s Road to Recovery program, which provides free transportation to cancer patients in need of life-saving treatments and medical appointments.
For many individuals battling cancer, getting to and from treatment can be a significant hurdle. The Road to Recovery program helps remove that barrier by offering free rides to those who have no other means of transportation. Cancer treatment often requires daily or weekly visits, sometimes lasting several months, and while friends and family may help, they aren’t always available for every ride. The American Cancer Society is committed to easing this burden, ensuring that patients can access the care they need without worrying about how to get there.
The Fork Cancer Pensacola Gala will feature an unforgettable evening of gourmet small plates from 11 esteemed local restaurants, including:
- Agape Bistro + Garden
- Bonelli’s Café Italia
- The Burrow
- The District
- The Grand Marlin
- Jackson’s Steakhouse
- Pearl & Horn
- Red Fish Blue Fish
- Summer’s Sushi
- Tacos El Fluffy
- Union Public House
The event will also include an open bar, silent auction items, three luxurious live auction prizes, caricaturist Tim Banfell, and live music by two bands, Mirage and Ben Loftin & Family.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support of our community and the dedication of Pensacola’s young professionals in making this event a success,” said Ryan Frazier, event chair of Fork Cancer Pensacola. “The Fork Cancer Board is made up of some of Pensacola’s best and brightest emerging leaders who are committed to the fight against cancer. Their hard work, along with the generosity of our attendees and sponsors, allows us to provide critical resources like free transportation to treatment for those battling this disease.”
Tickets for the Fork Cancer Symposium are $100 per person (21 and older), with limited seating for only 500 guests. High-scale cocktail attire is encouraged. Tickets can be purchased online here.
Additionally, the event is seeking sponsors and silent auction donations from businesses and individuals willing to contribute goods, services, or experiences. Donations can be arranged by contacting Melanie Orr at 850-407-4735 or by email at melanie.orr@cancer.org.
“Your support will make a meaningful difference and assist us in our mission to end cancer as we know it—for everyone,” furthered Frazier.
