Pensacola Interstate Fair Introduces New Safety Measures for the 90^th Annual Celebration

PENSACOLA, Fla. (Sept. 18, 2025) – As the Pensacola Interstate Fair prepares to celebrate its milestone 90th year, organizers are introducing new safety measures designed to make this year’s fair the safest and most enjoyable yet.

The Fair will implement a No Weapons Policy and a Clear Bag Policy for all guests, staff, and vendors. These updates are part of the Fair’s ongoing commitment to creating a welcoming, family-friendly environment where everyone can focus on the fun, food, and festivities.

Under the new rules, weapons of any kind—including firearms—will not be permitted on the fairgrounds at any time, regardless of whether the individual holds a concealed carry permit. Because the Pensacola Interstate Fair takes place on private property, the Board of Directors and management are able to set policies that prioritize the safety and comfort of all attendees.

Additionally, the Clear Bag Policy will help streamline entry and enhance security. This policy is similar to those used at major sporting events and other events in the country. Any and all bags will be subject to search upon arrival and any bags that are not clear will not be allowed in.

“We want our guests to come ready to laugh, ride the rides, pet the animals, enjoy the concerts, and eat all the fair food they can handle,” said Jamie McDonald, General Manager of the Pensacola Interstate Fair. “These policies are designed to help everyone feel secure and focus on what really matters—making memories at the Fair.”
