National Naval Aviation Museum Debuts New MaxFlight Simulators with Custom Helmet Wraps
Media Invited for Exclusive First Look Friday, June 13 at 10 a.m.
Pensacola, Fla. (June 11, 2025) — The National Naval Aviation Museum is proud to announce the launch of two new MaxFlight 360 simulators—immersive, high-tech experiences that give visitors the thrill of flight with 360-degree pitch, roll, and spin motion.
These new MaxFlight simulators are not only technological marvels, but visual standouts as well—thanks to custom-designed exterior wraps inspired by the helmets of Navy pilots. The simulators’ wraps were designed by Humberto Amaro to spark imagination and capture the spirit of naval aviation before the ride even begins.
One simulator features a bold wrap reminiscent of the iconic flight helmets from TOPGUN, complete with high-contrast stripes and a reflective visor that echoes the glow of an aircraft carrier landing at night. While the ride inside is not themed to the film, its cinematic design makes it a standout attraction.
The second simulator celebrates the Blue Angels and their deep connection to the Pensacola community. The wrap mirrors a Blue Angels pilot helmet, featuring a visor-style image of the team flying over Pensacola—with the National Naval Aviation Museum visible below, linking the design to its hometown roots.
“We wanted these wraps to tell a story and create excitement at first glance,” said Amaro. “They’re meant to connect with people’s love of aviation and their admiration for the Blue Angels, who inspire so many of us.”
The MaxFlight 360 simulators offer a full-motion flight experience featuring patented 360-degree pitch, roll, and spin capabilities designed to appeal to all ages (height restrictions apply). The simulators provide a fun, immersive adventure that’s perfect for aviation enthusiasts, thrill-seekers, and families alike.
Ticket prices and times can be found here.
