Our latest project for ECUA is one you can enjoy all year long. Each year, we help ECUA produce a calendar that gets distributed at community events. The goal is to showcase the local area, and highlight the ways ECUA impacts the community. It’s a challenge to come up with a different approach each year. This year, we partnered with local artist Brian L. Butler, who has called the Gulf Coast home for more than 25 years.

“These images are a small part of a long running passion project. In 2005, a convergence of technological advances reignited my interest in still photography and since that time I’ve tried to capture a little of what I see on the panhandle and beyond,” said Butler.

“Low-light photography is a favorite. From musicians in small, dark clubs, to long-exposures on the beach at 2 a.m., the combination of time and light can produce some beautiful, and at times surreal, results,” he furthered.

“In the end though, I really just like photographing whatever catches my attention. Luckily for me, there’s a never-ending supply of attention-grabbing beauty on the Gulf Coast.”

Would you like a printed copy of the calendar? Drop us an email and we’ll be happy to get one to you. That way, you can think about us all year long.
